Last updated: July 12, 2026

Savor Technologies Inc. ("Savor," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Savor mobile application and website at checksavor.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Account information: your full name, email address, and phone number when you create an account.
  • Payment information: billing details processed and stored by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Usage data: deal redemptions (which deals you redeemed, at which restaurants, and when), subscription status, and app activity.
  • Device information: device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostic purposes.
  • Waitlist data: name and email address if you joined our waitlist before creating an account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your subscription.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe.
  • Enforce our one-deal-per-restaurant-per-day redemption policy.
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, subscription receipts).
  • Respond to customer support requests.
  • Improve and develop the Service through aggregated, anonymized analytics.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: We share data with Supabase (database and authentication) and Stripe (payments) solely to operate the Service. These providers are contractually bound to protect your information.
  • Restaurant partners: When you redeem a deal at a participating restaurant, that restaurant's staff can see your first name and last initial in connection with that redemption, solely for the purpose of verifying and processing your deal. Restaurants do not have access to your email address, phone number, payment information, or redemption history at other restaurants.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
  • Business transfers: If Savor is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records).

5. Your Rights — California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to know: You may request a copy of the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
  • Right to delete: You may request deletion of your personal information. You can do this directly in the app via Account → Delete Account, or by emailing us.
  • Right to correct: You may update your name and phone number in the app at any time. To correct your email address, contact us.
  • Right to opt out of sale: We do not sell your personal information.
  • Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

To submit a CCPA request, email us at hello@checksavor.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We will respond within 45 days.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), authentication via Supabase Auth, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
